Special Mention award for System E from Dimplex

The company has won a "German Innovation Award - Special Mention" in the "Excellence in Business to Business - Energy Solution" category for System E, an air/water heat pump system. The award recognises outstanding innovation in the booming market for heat pumps, especially in the renovation of existing buildings.

Future-orientated innovations are possible throughout the industry - from industry giants to start-ups. The German Innovation Award, which is presented annually by the German Design Council, offers equal opportunities to all those who drive innovation forward. It makes achievements visible to a wide audience. This year was no exception. With 650 submissions from 22 countries, the German Innovation Award was once again very well received. 

The jury 
It is made up of independent, interdisciplinary experts from the fields of technology, digitalisation, science and institutions. The submissions are evaluated according to the criteria of innovation level, user benefit and economic viability. The innovation strategy should take into account aspects such as social, ecological and economic sustainability and the use of energy and resources. Factors such as location and employment potential, longevity, market maturity, technical quality and function, materiality and synergy effects also play a decisive role in the judging process. A total of 20 products/projects were awarded gold.

It makes the innovative strength of German SMEs visible across the board and shows how flexibly and quickly even smaller players are able to adapt to the rapidly changing requirements of the market, politics and global influencing factors." Anja Fischer continues: "All heat pump manufacturers have a heat pump with the environmentally friendly refrigerant R 290 (propane) for renovation in their programme.  However, Dimplex obviously has the most convincing overall concept with System E, which is also reflected in the presentation of the "German Innovation Award"."  

System E 
The highly efficient air/water heat pump system is specially designed for the rapid replacement of existing heating systems. The product is complemented by a clever installation support system. With the natural refrigerant R290 and the avoidance of unnecessary plastic panelling, System E is predestined as a high-quality, sustainable product for the renovation and modernisation market. The highest efficiency values with a rating of A+++, even in operation with flow temperatures of 55°C and radiators, also contribute to this. Previously, only a combination with low-temperature applications and underfloor heating was possible. If the flow temperatures need to be reduced, Dimplex can supply the appropriate heat pump radiators. With the same size, the flow temperatures can be reduced by more than 10 Kelvin and even enable silent cooling in summer in existing buildings. By simply scanning QR codes on the products and functional accessories directly on site, the installation is explained step by step in the form of self-explanatory video instructions. Optimised documentation makes the installer's work easier.
