DEE 1521/2127 - solar-capable instantaneous water heaters with minimum installation effort and maximum safety

3 min read
The DEE 1521 and DEE 2127 solar-powered instantaneous water heaters from Dimplex not only impress with their timeless design and intuitive operation, but also with their inner values. Installation is extremely easy thanks to extensive pre-drilling and flexible installation options. What's more, the appliances can be ideally combined with a solar thermal system or heat pump - for particularly climate-friendly and efficient utilisation. The adjustable maximum outlet temperature guarantees maximum safety, for example when used in sensitive areas such as nurseries or retirement homes.

The new electronically controlled instantaneous water heater from Dimplex, which is available in two output classes (15-21 kW and 21-27 kW), reveals a major advantage right from the installation stage: the hydraulic block can be completely removed, making the appliance extremely easy to install and maintain. As the mounting dimensions are compatible with the predecessor series and the pre-drilled holes are adapted to all standard models, replacement is very easy - without having to drill additional holes. The mains cable can be inserted from above, below or from the side.
Equipped with bare-wire heating elements, the nominal output can be changed in three stages - 15/18/21 kW or 21/24/27 kW, depending on the model. This ensures greater flexibility during installation, which can be carried out in front of the wall, behind the wall or in cabinets. Using the rotary control with self-explanatory symbols, you can quickly and easily select different temperatures from 20 to 60 °C (e.g. for hand washing, showering, etc.).
Adjustable maximum outlet temperature protects against scalding
The maximum outlet temperature can be set to different levels depending on use. As this eliminates the risk of scalding and ensures maximum safety, the DTE 1521 or 2127 is suitable for a wide range of applications (e.g. also for people in need of protection).

If you use preheated drinking water for electronic instantaneous water heaters, you can save a lot of money on water heating. The solar-compatible DEE 1521 and DEE 2127 models can easily be combined with a solar hot water system. Using them in conjunction with a heat pump is also extremely efficient: the hot water cylinder does not have to be kept at a constantly high temperature level to maintain drinking water hygiene. The hot water temperature can be set lower and the instantaneous water heater provides reheating to the desired water temperature (e.g. 55 °C) directly at the tap.
